Food and Agriculture

We will always go the extra mile to find a solution to whatever problems our clients may be facing.

Kentin Engineering recently had the task of coming up with a solution for a client in the food industry. They had corrosion problems on their hydraulic cylinders. The problem had been around for years and they had tried many different paint protection systems to correct the problem. Due to the harsh cleaning chemicals and vigorous high-pressure cleaning, nothing lasted more than 6 months. This resulted in unsightly and unhygienic food production equipment.

A simple solution would be to have been to manufacture stainless steel hydraulic cylinders. This solution did solve the corrosion problem. However, it brought about a maintenance nightmare as these cylinders had to be serviced more regularly and their general performance was unreliable.

Kentin Engineering came up with a cost-effective stainless steel cladded cylinder that would have the best of both worlds, High corrosion protection, and smooth fast fast-acting travel with less maintenance required. After the initial design, we put our plan into action and delivered the new improved components to our customers with outstanding results.
