Public Art

We are happy to adapt and customise designs to meet your needs and complement your aesthetics

Kentin made and installed three stunning architectural solar flowers for Scope Systems as public art to complement their newly renovated ‘GREEN CONCEPT” office warehouse.

The design structure brought about many challenges, for example, strong wind loads, and heat expansion on delicate glass solar panels. There was also limited space between the building and the footpath and a very top-heavy steel structure. However, we tackled every obstacle head-on by working closely with the design team. Kentin worked on the structural design and key features and then got to work making the top structure and main stems.
We machined each solar frame to ensure perfect spacing for panels and petals as accuracy was paramount. The main stems were bent into three unique shapes and were flawlessly fitted to the top structure.
A few weeks later the steel flowers were ready to be installed onto their 1.5m deep concrete foundations. The flowers were carefully assembled on site and craned into place with millimeter precision. After a few hours of electrical work, they came to life complementing the building’s modern aesthetics.
Witnessing our creations of public art  come alive was truly a moment of pride. Kentin Engineering is proud to contribute to sustainable and visually captivating designs. We’re grateful for the opportunity to turn challenges into triumphs.
